The Winfield USD 465 Foundation is an endowment fund that supports special projects and programs in Winfield public schools. Donors contribute to the Foundation’s endowment funds, and income from these funds enhances academic, fine arts, athletic, vocational, and general programs for which funding is not otherwise available through normal tax revenues.

Most contributions are made to the general unrestricted fund, which allows the foundation to support needs and opportunities it sees as most critical. However, it is possible for donors to specify how they wish their gifts to be used. Some examples of designated funds include named scholarships, named gifts in honor or memory of a person, or support of a specific school or program.
